What Are Your Career Training Goals?
Whether you’re just beginning your career, looking for the next step in your career path, or an employer looking for an effective training program, Excel Career College offers a unique learning opportunity to people in the Comox Valley.

The first step to meeting career training goals is to choose a school and a program. The program you choose will determine whether you have the information, experience, and confidence to step into a new job or position. There are other considerations as well, such as lifestyle, budget, and learning style. Lastly, you’ll want to earn recognized credentials that employers will recognize and value.

Designation: Excel Career College offers designated programs, meaning that the content and delivery methods of our program have been reviewed and approved to meet provincial post-secondary education standards. It also means that our courses are audited by an external organization to ensure they offer value to those who enroll and are recognized for student funding.

Relevance: Our knowledge of the local job market is current. Excel programs are specific to careers and job positions, not general fields of study. We prepare our students for the job they want, by focusing on providing relevant and practical knowledge that’s needed in day-to-day applications. In addition, employers are active contributors to the content of our programs to ensure that information and skills learned are current and relevant.

Local Connections: Excel works with many community partners in a variety of industries, and our Program Advisory Committees include representation from local employers. This allows us to offer students relevant practicum experiences that build confidence and a professional network, which both contribute to a stronger likelihood of finding employment in the Comox Valley.

Personal Support: Our smaller class sizes allow our instructors to be accessible for questions and a more attentive focus on your progress. Personal support and information about helpful resources contribute to student success.

Cost:  There is no upfront investment required to begin your training.  We specialize in helping students identify funding options and guide them through the process of obtaining government funding, grants, scholarships, and bursaries. By taking your training through Excel Career College, you can continue to live in your community and avoid commuting or moving expenses.
