English Language Requirements

The language of instruction for all Excel Career College programs is English. Students applying must have sufficient English language skills and experience to fully participate in classroom lectures, assignments, discussions and examinations.

Excel Career College assesses international applications on an individual basis. All general and specific program requirements must be met, including senior-level English credits.

Excel Career College accepts the TOEFL, IELTS, or PTE (Pearson) language proficiency test scores to satisfy our English admission requirements:

Applicants whose first language is not English must provide evidence of one of the following:

  • Standardized English language proficiency test score from an authorized assessment center, with evidence from one of the following test scores - within the past two (2) years:

  • Canadian Language Benchmark Placement Test (CLB PT)

  • Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program (CELPIP – General),

  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS): Academic or General

  • Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL)

  • The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
