About the Program

The Digital Marketing & Business Management program prepares you for a career in business and marketing. Become more confident and equipped in understanding and managing public relations, websites, and e-commerce. Students will be able to plan, track, report, and control budgets and accounting, operate a business, and gain the fundamentals of project management. They will also learn the value of digital marketing.


This program has been approved by the Private Training Institutions Regulatory Unit (PTIRU) of the Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills.

Introduction to Technology

This is an entry-level course to introduce students to computers, technology, the internet, and Microsoft Windows. Students will also be introduced to correct keyboarding techniques.


Microsoft Office Word

The objective of this course is to introduce students to the basic commands, functions, and capabilities of MS Word. It is designed for computer users who are new to word processing.


Microsoft Office Excel

The main objective of this course is to introduce students to the basic commands, functions, and capabilities of Microsoft Excel Level 1. It is designed for computer users who are new to spreadsheets.


Communication Strategy for Business

This course helps students achieve the highest level of professionalism when conducting business. With a clear communication model that helps students professionally analyze and react to any sort of business situation, this course stresses the importance of etiquette in successful entrepreneurial practices.


Business – Entrepreneurial

This course is designed to introduce you to the exciting and challenging world of business, both in Canada and elsewhere. The course is designed to fit the needs of a wide variety of students.


Business – Math Essentials

This course is designed to increase the student’s knowledge and skill in the solution of practical financial and operational problems encountered in operating a business.


Business – Contract Law

This course continues to emphasize intellectual property and information technology, as they are areas where there have been dramatic legislative changes and technological advancements in recent years.


Business – Finance

This course helps a broad range of business owners understand the financial aspects of entrepreneurship, explaining the financial topics most important to running a profitable small business such as inventory control, time value of money, working capital management, and forecasting. Students learn how two popular business tools can assist business owners in problem-solving and decision-making.


Business – Writing

Business Communication Essentials’ integrated learning system helps you develop your communication skills so you will be prepared for the workplace. The features of the text will help you learn and apply the communication skills needed for a successful career.


Bookkeeping and Accounting Essentials

Students learn the basic structure of bookkeeping, accounting, and accounting information systems.


Human Resources Management

This course provides extensive coverage of all Human Resources Management (HRM) topics, such as job analysis, HR planning, recruitment, selection, orientation and training, career development, compensation and benefits, performance appraisal, health and safety, and labour relations.


Management of Information Systems

The course overviews common uses for computers and information systems, explains the difference between computer literacy and information literacy, and then reviews transaction-processing systems as one of the earliest applications of information systems.


Project Management

This course takes a holistic, integrated approach to managing projects, and exploring technical and managerial challenges. It not only emphasizes individual project execution but also provides a strategic perspective, demonstrating the means with which to manage projects in programs and portfolios.


Digital Marketing Systems

Students will receive a real-world understanding of digital marketing and help gain employment in their chosen field. The course would help readers with a vision to lead or be part of a team, start a company, or even own an agency. The course would provide intellectual capital to be successful in future endeavors in the digital market. The course provides knowledge and information to utilize marketing tools that would deliver a message unique to the needs of the consumers.


Conventional Sales & Marketing

This course makes learning and teaching marketing more effective, easier, and more enjoyable than ever. Its streamlined approach strikes a careful balance between depth of coverage and ease of learning. Students will see how creating and capturing customer value drives every good marketing strategy. 


Social Media Marketing

Students are taught the rules of engagement and social media ethics for behaving properly as marketers on the social web. With these guidelines in mind, the most productive marketing tactics for each type of major social media platform are examined in depth. These platform-specific tactics are brought together to create a comprehensive social media marketing project, with detailed explanations and illustrations from a real-world plan. Extensive consideration is given to monitoring, evaluating, and tuning the implementation of social media marketing initiatives. In addition, students are introduced to the most useful quantitative and qualitative social media measurements, along with various ways to estimate an organization’s return on investment in social media marketing activities.


Basics of Search Engine Optimization

The activities in this course will provide students with a facilitated learning environment in which they will learn to optimize and efficiently understand Search Engine Optimization. The course is designed to test the concepts, link them, execute them, and test them.


Strategic Design of Web

This course focuses on using WordPress for website design and advances students’ knowledge by teaching them how websites work. The textbook also examines how technology choices for building a website are more important than students may think. Each student leaves with an understanding of analytics and a fully functional website that they have built from scratch.


Web Content Writing

The student will learn that it is important to create engaging content that attracts the right people to your site. By doing so, your website will get visited by people who want to read what you’ve written and are more than happy to do business with you.


Market Research

Marketing Research provides students with a “nuts and bolts” introduction to the field of marketing research. Intended for students with no prior background in marketing research, this course will teach students the fundamental statistical models needed to analyze market data. Students will relate the material to the real world – and their future careers.


Career Strategies

This course focuses on helping students develop an ongoing, flexible portfolio of information about themselves and their work in order to prepare them for satisfying and productive lives in an ever-changing world. The exercises and writing activities encourage students to take a proactive role in creating their futures, motivating them to become personally responsible for their lives and to become active participants in the process.


Co-op Placement

The co-op work experience is an integral component of a student’s learning experience. It allows students to gain relevant industry-specific learning and serves to provide opportunities to experience personal and professional growth by applying theory to practice in a real-world workplace-based environment. In this placement, students will gain valuable insights, apply recently acquired knowledge and skills, and gain the confidence to become a valued member of an organization.

Admission & Requirements

Students are required to be 19 years of age prior to the start of the  program or possess a high school diploma (or equivalent), and provide  evidence of one of the following English proficiency requirements: 

• Completion of grades 9-11, including English 10 with a grade of  ‘C’ or higher from a country where English is one of the principal languages, or 
• Completion of 2 years of full-time post-secondary education at  an accredited institution where English is the language of  instruction, or 
• Evidence of graduation from a language program with an  established pathway/articulation agreement allowing direct  entry (no further testing required) to a diploma or degree  program at a public institution in Canada, or 
• Provide verified results for one of the English language proficiency tests listed below. Test results must be dated no  more than two years before the start date of the program: 
• International English Language Testing System (IELTS)  Academic – Minimum overall score of 5.5 
• Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) IBT – Minimum overall score of 46 
• Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL) – Minimum overall score of 40 
• Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program  (CELPIP)  
• Listening 6, Speaking 6, Reading 5, and Writing 5
• Duolingo English Test (DET) – Minimum overall score of  95 
• Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic – Minimum overall score of 43 
• Cambridge English Qualifications: B2 First exam (FCE) -Minimum overall score of 160 or “C” 
• Cambridge Linguaskill – Minimum overall B2 level 
• LANGUAGECERT Academic – Minimum overall B2 level 
• The Michigan English Test (MET) – Minimum overall B2  level 
• iTEP Academic – Minimum overall score of 3.5 
• EIKEN – Minimum placement of Grade Pre-1
