English as a Second Language (ESL)
ESL Programs
Program Overview
The program intends to provide opportunities for students to upgrade their language skills in all four skill areas: reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Two specific courses in the program offer an opportunity for students to gain specific knowledge and skills to attempt an IELTS exam or a similar large testing system.
Students enter their first course of the program based on a diagnostic assessment and can move up to higher courses during the program duration. Students are assessed before course-level placement and before progressing to the next level.
English as a Second Language was reviewed and approved by the registrar of the Private Training Institutions Regulatory Unit (PTIRU) of the Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills.
